One of the better players to come through the academy and the belief is that he can make it at the top.

Strong, athletic defender who won everything in the air at Academy and reserve level and will now try and push that into his first team appearances when he inevitably breaks into the first team squad on a regular basis.

Had to go out on loan, firstly for a season at Altrincham before going to Tranmere for the 2008/9 season, to get some competitive experience before being given a chance at Stoke but has a lot of fans already, including manager Tony Pulis and Director of Football John Rudge, who are confident he is a star of the future.

Made his Potters debut in the final minute of the Carling Cup tie at Cheltenham before his loan move to Tranmere.

Earnt rave reviews at Prenton Park before returning after failing to make the League One play offs.

Played at right back for Tranmere and continued that during 2009/10 when, after making his first Potters start in the Carling Cup win at Leyton Orient, he joined Barnsley on a season long loan, spending the majority of his time at full back before playing centrally for the final few games of the season. Yet again he was a firm fans favourite and the Tykes supporters put him as their top summer target, hoping for either a permanent move or another season long loan.

Was in the Potters 25 man Premier League squad for 2010/11 and made two starts in the clubs FA Cup run aswell as two substitute appearances, including his Premier League debut. He was consistent and didn't make any mistakes during his time on the field and will be hoping to build on that during 2011/12.
