Disappointing season. Why didn't we spend the money on AA at the start of the season? Why sell 3 DMs, with no replacements? Would we have done better if we'd been injury free, (Cesc, Theo etc) or had Eduardo all season? Probably not cos we can't defend. Scored as many as Utd but let in 50%+ more. Also, we don't know what the best team is. 2002/4 we had a set starting XI. Too many almost players, but can't get the right mix.

Arshavin was good for his 1/2 season.

Rooney and Ronaldo were good, unfortunately.
Which, if any, Stoke players impressed you this season?
Big centre half Abdoulaye Faye. After about 30 mins in the last game, he was under pressure where the goal line meets the penalty area. Two Arsenal players around him and it looked like he'd have to put the ball out or risk giving it away in a risky area. He back-heeled it towards your goalie, and it was cleared. Got a spontaneous round of applause from both sets of fans. Well skilful. Can't remember the last time I applauded a bit of skill from an opponent like that.
Also, the goalie that came on when you were 4-1 down. Sorenson? Made 3 blinding saves. Why wasn't he playing from the start.
Delap's underrated too. More to the boy than just throw-ins (which are good as we all know)
What are your thoughts on Stoke City?
Glad they stayed up. Gives inspiration to the other smaller teams in Championship. Hope they stay up again next year. Well deserved to beat us, and glad that they tried to play football against us, as opposed to kick us off the park. That's refreshing, and for that reason I hope they do well.
But the best thing about Stoke was the support. Amazing at our place. When they sung, they made the loudest noise I've heard at the new place. Very impressive. "2-0 and you still don't sing" was both funny and embarrassing. Best away fans. Respect.
Where do you need to strengthen this summer?
Got a new defender (hope he's good). Need a DM as the whole world knows. Replacement for Ade, hopefully.
