Oppositions View - Everton(H)

Stoke are doing well, sitting in 10th, whilst Everton are just below in 11th, how do you think game will go?

I do fancy us tomorrow. You have not beaten us since 1982, and we do have a hoodoo over you. It will be physical and tight as ever, but I think we will nick it by the odd goal

What style of performance will the Toffee's aim for?

Everton’s style over the seasons have adapted to the players at our disposal. David Moyes has now built a decent footballing side with Pienaar, Arteta, Baines, Jagielka and alike all comfortable with a ball at their feet. Our only problem is sometimes over playing it and I would like us to be a bit more direct in front of goal.

Everton midfield is thought of as its strong point but Arteta has been off form and with Cahill to depart for the Asia games after the weekend do you think the Toffee's will stay out of trouble with the league being so tight?

I do not think we will fall towards the foot of the table, but we will gradually climb it. We historically always have a better second half of the season than the first, and with two fifth place finishes and an eighth place in the last three season, I feel we can still grab a Europa Cup slot. Admittedly our front men can’t score at the moment, Cahill will be a huge loss for us, but I fully expect one of Saha, Yakubu or Beckford to step up to the plate in Cahill’s absence.

If you could pick one Stoke player for your team?

To be honest I don’t think player on player there is anyone better at Stoke than we have at present. If I had to plump for someone it would probably be Kenwyne Jones, not for his form with you this season but when he was on blob at Sunderland

If you could give one of your players to Stoke?

If I could give you a Blues player, it would probably be Louis Saha, but only if you gave us a few million in return, not that he is worth it now, just as we are always skint

Prediction

Blues to nick it 1-0
