The Potters host Cardiff tomorrow in their FA Cup 3rd round tie with Stoke hoping to avoid a giantkilling.

Stoke sit 10th in the Premier League and face a Cardiff side who are second in the Championship but out of form of late.

Stoke have a decent home record this season and have already beaten six sides in all competitions but have four defeats. Cardiff have six wins and six defeats in thirteen league away games so far in 2010/11.

In the 22 matches between these sides at Stoke, the Potters have won 12, the visitors 6 and four have been drawn. Last time the pair clashed at the Brit the game ended in a 2-1 home win. Overall Cardiff have won 15 times to the Potters 19 victories, although the Bluebirds haven't won any of the last 4 encounters between the two sides.

The Met Office report that it will be sunny, temperatures of a chilly 3 degrees celsius, very good visibility and a 9mph wind, with gusts of 25mph.

Prediction: City make a few changes and comfortably progress against a Cardiff side who rest a lot of their first teamers, thanks to goals from Tuncay, Wilson and Huth
