The Potters were defeated by two injury time strikes in a game overshadowed by a tragic injury to Arsenal youngster Aaron Ramsey.
The injury happenned at the start of the second half and killed the competitive spirit in which the game was played, but the Gunners still needed a controversial penalty to win.
Ryan Shawcross was sent off for the tackle on Ramsey but still managed to pick up votes in the poll, as did Glenn Whelan but the top three ended like this:
3) Dean Whitehead - 15.4% - Energetic midfielder was all over and covered every blade of grass before being withdrawn early as the busy February schedule finally started to catch up with him
2) Rory Delap -16.9% - Involved in the opener when his long thow caused havoc and ended up in the net. Was busy throughout and closed down constantly, in one of his best performances on the right wing for the Potters
1) Andy Wilkinson - 20.0% - Right back was solid and dependable, as always, and didn't allow the pacey Gunners stars the chance to influence the game from his flank. One of his toughest assignments of the season and he coped remarkebly well
