City produced one of the greatest performances of recent years to dump Arsenal out of the FA Cup at the weekend, and now the results are in for the StokeMAD Man of the Match poll. There were votes for both centre backs and quite a few for Glenn Whelan and striker Mama Sidibe but the top 3 were as follows:
3) Dean Whitehead - 16.8% - Energetic star kept up his recent good form with another great performance full of closing down and harrassing the opposition but also getting forward. He opened his account with a tap in to seal the game
2) Ricardo Fuller - 18.7% - Bagged a brace of headers to twice put the Potters in front and linked up the play well. Will be hoping to kick start his league season, where he has only netted one of his five goals this season.
1) Matthew Etherington - 40.2% - Winger did his England credentials no harm what so ever with a world class display in front of the ITV cameras. Beat his man time and time again and put cross after cross into the perfect area. With a poacher in the team he could have had half a dozen assists. Superb defensive side to his game aswell and he outwitted the opposition throughout the game.
Etherington now tops the standings, replacing long time leader Thomas Sorenson, whilst Dean Whitehead joins Tuncay in joint third and Ricardo Fuller moves into the top 5.
