The Potters got their first ever December Premier League victory when they defeated Blackburn by two goals to nil on Boxing day and the result of the Man of the Match poll is in.

1) Robert Huth - 40.7% - Defender was solid and dependable at the back and also weighed in with the opening goal to set the Potters on their way
2) Jermaine Pennant - 11.1% - Winger teased the defence throughout as he put in numerous crosses and also tracked back to help out the defence when Rovers were on the attack
3) Rory Delap - 8.6% - Midfielder got stuck in and helped the Potters to dominate the midfield, whilst his long throws also caused problems for the hosts defence
3) Asmir Begovic - 8.6% - Keeper was solid as always, showing yet more promise as he claimed crosses, organised his defence and also pulled off a couple of important saves to see City home
