Ten changes to the side that won at Bolton gave a few fringe players the chance to impress but very few took that opportunity, needing extra time to defeat Cardiff and book their place in the 4th round.

1) Jon Walters - 31.4% - Was the hero as he netted both the extra time goals to book the Potters place in the 4th round. Had a quiet first 90 minutes before bursting into life in the additional thirty minutes
2) Ryan Shotton - 19.8% - Defender came in at right back and put in another assured display to help keep a clean sheet. Seemed to cope at ease with the threat down his wing whilst also being a major threat going forward, with some great crosses
3) Danny Collins - 14.0% - Was moved inside to centre back early on and put in a good performance as he dealt with the Cardiff strikers with ease and stopped the hosts creating any clear cut opportunities
4) Abdoulaye Faye - 9.3%
5) Glenn Whelan - 7.0%
6) Tom Soares - 4.7%
7) Danny Higginbotham - 2.3%
