The Potters may have gone down by two goals to nil at Stamford Bridge but gave a very positive performance and were unlucky not to score on more than one occasion. The poll result saw votes cast for 11 players. Below is how the voting ended up.
1) Thomas Sorensen - 26.8% - Saved a Lampard penalty, produced a fantastic stop from Drogba and also stopped Kalou one on one late on. Tainted slightly by giving the second penalty away but great overall performance
2) Rory Delap - 19.7% - Irishman gave his all and never stopped working. Got stuck in and showed there is still life in him yet. Dare say that injuring John Terry, in a 50/50 may I add, and tricking his way past Ashley Cole may have earnt him some votes
3) Robert Huth - 9.9% - German defender was solid and strong, showing great composure on the ball and helped keep his wing quiet for the majority of the game.
4) Matthew Etherington 8.5%
4) Jonathon Walters 8.5%
6) Kenwyne Jones 7.0%
7) Abdoulaye Faye 4.2%
7) Glenn Whelan 4.2%
7) Danny Collins 4.2%
10) Dean Whitehead 2.8%
10) Ryan Shawcross 2.8%
