Poll Result: Man of the Match v Manchester City

The Potters were quite disappointing in the Boxing day trip to Manchester City, losing 2-0 in a game when they never quite got going in. There were a few players who had bad performances but a few till managed to leave with there head held high. The top 3 is as follows:

3) Matthew Etherington - 12.8% - Left winger was Stoke's only real outlet and never gave up. Still in top form, and it a good job he is, as players around him continue to struggle in the final third

2) Andy Wilkinson - 14.9% - Full back gave a great display defensively, throwing the shackles round Robinho and Petrov, something many a full back will fail to do. Got subbed after picking up an injury making a goal saving tackle

1) Danny Higginbotham - 31.9% - Playing himself into team, the centre back continued in the fine form he showed at Villa Park and marshalled the defence really well, looking after a, once again, out of sorts Faye.
