A new season and the Potters opened it with a defeatm but as always there was still a Man of the Match to be decided.
There is a new points system in place for this seasons race to be The Boothen Roar Player of the Season, adopting the same syatem used in Formula 1, to try and get a fairer way of deciding who gets the end of season award, even though we believe last seasons winner Matthew Etherington was fully deserving his award.
Here is the games top 3:
1) Ryan Shawcross - 30.3% - Mopped up everything that came his way and gave a near faultless performance, often digging both full backs out of a hole
2) Kenwyne Jones - 25.0% - Looked worth every penny Stoke paid for him, for the ten minutes he was on anyways. Bustled the defence, fed Fuller, linked well with the Jamaican and struck the bar after supberly holding off a defender for 30 yards.
3) Abdoulaye Faye - 11.8% - Scored the goal that gave us hope and although he had his moments he was generally solid.
and the rest
4) Matthew Etherington - 6.6%
5) Ricardo Fuller - 5.3%
5) Mama Sidibe - 5.3%
7) Tuncay - 3.9%
8) Robert Huth - 2.6%
8) Rory Delap - 2.6%
