The Potters are safely into the fourth round of the FA Cup after defeating non-league York City at the Britannia Stadium at the weekend, earning a fourth round tie at home to Arsenal.
Manager Tony Pulis suprisingly put out a near full strength side and it seems, from the voting, that the quartet of Ricardo Fuller, Dean Whitehead, Matthew Etherington and Leon Cort, in from the cold, were the ones who impressed you as these are the only four who got any votes. The top 3 were as follows:
3) Ricardo Fuller - 9.4% - Scored the vital second goal and looked dangerous all game, running the defence ragged and if only he had more support from Beattie the maybe the score would have been even more handsome.
2) Matthew Etherington - 22.6% - In the top 3 for the 10th time in 13 matches, the other three being where he finihed fourth, the man is bang in form and a fantastic free kcik was just the icing on the cake after a performance full of speed, skill and that all important confidence.
1) Dean Whitehead - 43.4% - Dominated the midfield and was often seeing breaking into the opposition box, trying to get on the end of one of the frequent attacks, and then moments later he would be back in his own area, stopping the Conference sides from sneaking back into the game. Seems to have settled down these past few weeks.
