The defeat and performance seem to have put off a lot of voters this week but one man still has the somewhat small consolation of picking up the StokeMAD Man of the Match award.
There weren't many, if any, stand out performances from the Potters wih just a handful of players receiving any votes, but the top 3 were as follows:
3=) Rory Delap - 6.7% - Midfielder stuck at it, one of the few to play to the final whistle. Showed just how valuable as he started off wide left before coming inside and playing in central midfield once Tuncay was introduced
3=) Liam Lawrence - 6.7% - Winger gave plenty of effort and was one who continued going until the end, long after many had given up. Will be hoping he impressed enough to keep his place.
3=) Abdoulaye Faye - 6.7% - Centre back had a good game containing two of the best strikers in the league. Was picked out by the manager for the second goal but other than that didn't anything wrong
2) Robert Huth - 24.4% - Right back is fast becoming a solid, dependable figure. Came out of the match with respect and is doing fantastic as a centre back playing as a left footed right back. Kept Nani very quiet
1) Thomas Sorenson - 28.9% - Didn't stand a chance with either goal but didn't do anything wrong other. Made a couple of good saves and made himself big in opening five minutes making Valencia shoot over when through on goal.
