City may have crashed out of the Carling Cup on Tueswday but somebody still had to pick up the StokeMAD Man of the Match award and it was a chance for some of the Potters back up players to get some recognition.
Not as many votes as usual were cast, mainly because a 4-0 defeat rarely bring many good performances, and Glenn Whelan, Dave Kitson, Mama Sidibe, Tom Soares and Steve Simonsen picked up the odd vote but faield top make the top 3, which were:
3) Louis Moult - 8.9% - Only came on late on but probably earnt votes for that fact, he wasn't there long enough to do anything wrong. Did use his trickery to get past his man once before being hauled down, one the few times the Potters looked threatening.
2) Tuncay - 13.3% - Turkish star was looking to open his Potters account all night, he just missed that all important stroke of luck. Proved his fitness to the manager and will be hoping to be included on Saturday
1) Diego Arismendi - 35.6% - Overwhelming winner as he took his chance to impress with both hands. Showed why the Potters forked out big money for him in the summer andf will be hoping he can force his way into the first team picture with more games like this. Dangerous in attack and resilient in defence
