Saturday saw the Potters picked up their first victory since August, defeating West Ham at the Britannia Stadium by two goals to one and now the StokeMAD Man of the Match has been decided.
The poll saw a high number of votes and Salif Diao, winner last time out, came in 5th with 4.3%. The final podium position was tightly contested but two goal hero James Beattie just lost out, clocking 6.5% of the vote. The top 3 are as follows:
3) Matthew Etherington - 7.6% - Winger is looking back to his best. Got up and down all afternoon against his former club. Won penalty and gave the full backs a tough afternoon.
2) Ryan Shawcross - 20.7% - Centre back put in an outstanding performance to take second place. If it had been any other game this season he would have been nailed on for top spot, especially after that world class tackle in the second half to deny Hammers hitman Carlton Cole, who was through one on one.
1) Ricardo Fuller - 48.9% - Was simply unplayable as he tore the visitors back line apart time and time again. The Jamaican didn't get on the scoresheet but set up Beattie for the second goal after a fantastic run, where he made England defender Matthew Upson look very average, and also his back heel put Etherington into a position where he was fouled for the penalty.
