The Potters gave in a dominant first half performance to go 2-0 up but blew it with a lacklustre second half performance. One man really stood out, as the voting showed, with only six other players registering any votes. Tuncay, Sorenson and Collins each got one vote and Whitehead just two. The top three were as follows:
3) Ryan Shawcross - 5.3% - Defender somewhat 'carried' Abdoulaye Faye as the captain had a rare off day. Payback somewhat for those games when the captain covered the England hopeful, whilst he learnt the ropes
2) Andy Wilkinson - 9.3% - Didn't put a foot wrong AGAIN and I'm struggling to remember the last mistake he did. Nobody was getting past the full back on Saturday
1) Matthew Etherington - 64.0% - Overwhelming winner for a player bang in form right now. Probably his best Potters performance with a fantastic assist, brilliant goal and now deserved man of the match award.
