City Veterans were the next to feel the force of Hardly Athletic as they were beaten by six goals to four at Fenton Manor.
After a tough start to the season Hardly now go into next weeks cup game against Premier Leaguers The Goonies in 4th place in the league, and lie just a point off a top three position.
After a competitive start the Veterans took the lead but a goal rush saw McEvoy draw Hardly level before two Young strikes twice put Hardly in front, but City twiced pulled themselves level.
After the break Hardly took the lead when Cope netted, before a long end to end battle was ended when City drew level. The scores weren't level for long though as straight from the kick off Young smashed the ball past the keeper from inside his own half and seconds later Cope netted again to double the advantage.
The scoring was rounded off when Cope raced through to score the seventh and secure another impressive victory.
