Stoke Ramblers were on the end of a mauling in Manchester after being picked apart by the Red Devils in blazing heat.
The Ramblers travelled north with only ten men and were with only two of what would be considered their strongest XI so knew they would be up against it and, in temperatures of over twenty degrees celcius the team started well with debutant Nath Farrell causing problems as he drove at the defence but the defence was undone on four occasions during the first period.
The second half saw Ramblers forced on the backfoot throughout and the hosts added goal after goal, especially late on as the Ramblers weary legs failed to stop the constant wave of attacks, the scoring eventually ending on 13.
