A product of West Brom’s Academy, Elford-Alliyu (or ‘Pan’ as he is
apparently known by his team mates) came through the youth teams at
the club since joining them aged 15.  Lateef was a regular for the
U-18 team when he moved to Hereford United for a brief loan spell in
January 2010. He made his league debut and only appearance for
Hereford in a 2-0 defeat to Stoke City’s shadow dwellers Port Vale.

Lateef returned to the Hawthorne’s in February 2010 and became a
regular for the reserves before joining Keflavik FC, am Icelandic
top-flight club along with Kayleden Brown, another West Brom youth
player.  Lateef returned from Iceland in June and made his latest move
to Tranmere Rovers in November.

Whilst Lateef is yet to make a first team appearance for West Brom he
is gaining experience  at other clubs and is known by a group of West
Brom fans for a remarkable goal from the half-way line in a pre-season
friendly against Stafford Rangers.
He has also travelled with the first team squad for cup games and has
represented England three times at the U-17 European Championships.
