Away Day Review - Ewood Park - 26/12/10
Last updated : 19 January 2011 By Dan Buxton
Journey
Doddle of a journey there and we were back in Stoke for 6.10pm
10/10
Ground
Ewood Park is ok really, an old ground that still has some character even if it is a bit cramped in the concourses. Can't imagine anyone wouldn't have had a good view either.
8/10
Atmosphere
Good Boxing Day following from
Stoke added to the atmosphere, the home fans were pretty quiet apart from a few hundred to our right (although they are having a bizarre time what with their new owners.)
7/10 for the Stokies, 5/10 for Rovers
Pies and Pints
Our usual pub, The Bear had been burnt down so we went to the Fernhurst which was busy (and a touch dear) but pretty decent. I got a pie in the ground which was warm and full of pepper (so it did the job on a cold Boxing Day afternoon.)
7/10
Performance and Result
A very professional performance from Stoke and a deserved three points to send the travelling Stokies home happy.
