"This is a great move for Ben and a great opportunity for him to join one of the biggest clubs in the world.
"It's an incredible deal which adds further stability to the club and we couldn't stand in his way once we heard Manchester United wanted to sign him."
The rising star has signed for United for a fee of 1 Million Pounds which could rise to 3 Million with various add-ons.
Rudge added: "A lot of credit must go to our former scout Colin Dobson, who was instrumental in bringing Ben to the club in the first place.
"Credit must also go to Ronnie Sinclair, Ed de Goey and Steve Simonsen for the part they have played in making him the player he is.
"Ben has the potential to do well at Manchester United and we wish him the very best of luck."
