"I'm no Rikki Dadason" he says.
"I don't think we are the same player because we have a different style of play," says the 22-year-old striker. "I know it always takes time to adapt to a new culture and a new style of play, but this is the kind of football that suits me.
"Roy Hodgson said that I should definitely have a go over here. I also spoke to a couple of other Icelandic players about the move.
"I chatted to Petur Marteinsson, who was here once, and I met Toddi Gudjonsson in the summer to talk about it. They both recommended the move and said it was a good place to be.
"I'm not sure if I'll be fit for Saturday yet," he admitted. "That's something I will have to talk over with the physio. I sampled the stadium and atmosphere when I visited a couple of weeks ago and I can't wait to get out there now I'm a Stoke player."
