The Club didn't want to stand in the way of such a great move for the player, who will enjoy himself in South Korea.
"It's a fantastic opportunity," said Cooke, "and one which probably wouldn' t come around again.
"I love Stoke City to bits, always have, but I feel the time is right for a change and a challenge like this.
"I first heard of their interest just over a week ago and it's all been pretty hectic since. Their season finishes in December and we've just got to decide if I sign an 18-month or two-and-a-half year contract.
"I was hoping to go out there and take a look before making a decision, but unfortunately my grandfather passed away and so I've had to look on the internet and speak to Jamie to find out about things out there."
