Stoke defender Carl Dickinson has joined Championship side Watford for an undisclosed fee, believed to be around £500,000.
Dickinson, 24, came through the Potters academy system to play 60 games for the club since his debut in November 2004.
His early career was interupted by a broken ankle during a pre-season tour to Austria but he came back and was a hugely influential figure as the Potters gained promotion in 2008.
Since then he has failed to get a decent run of games in the City side, being loaned out to Leeds, Barnsley and Portsmouth over the past three seasons.
Dickinson now joins up with former Potter, and Hornets captain, John Eustace and should the teams be drawn together in any cups the pair are guaranteed a warm reception by the Stoke faithful.
