Stoke have been linked with yet another frontman, this time former target Craig Bellamy,
Bellamy, 31, was targeted by City last summer but decided to join hometown club Cardiff on a twelve month loan and is now available for a transfer out of Eastlands.
The Welshman is reportedly available on a free transfer, to get his £90,000-a-week wages off the wagebill. The Citizens have stated though that they are unwilling to pay any of the strikers wages should he leave the club, meaning Bellamy will almost certainly have to take a huge pay cut to get his move.
Former sides Blackburn and Celtic are also reportedly interested but both of them would also require the experienced striker taking at least a 50% cut in pay.
