Rumours are circulating that Carl could soon be on his way. One source has insisted that a deal was agreed over a fortnight ago, where Carl would move to Coventry on a free transfer but a spanner was thrown in the works when Stoke demanded a fee.
The 32 year-old has had a price of £100,000 placed on him by the Stoke City board, and it is upto Coventry to come to an agreement if the deal is to take place.
For now, both clubs are keeping silent about the transfer.
