Stoke's highly rated Bosnian international goalkeeper Asmir Begovic didn't play in the Potters Carling Cup win over Shrewsbury, despite City manager Tony Pulis initially selecting him to play.
Pulis had named Begovic in his 'early bird' side for the cup tie but the twenty-two-year-old went to his manager and said he wasn't in the right frame of mind to play and wish to be made unavailabale for selection.
Begovic has been heavily linked with Fulham, Tottenham, Celtic and Manchester City, whilst Chelsea have had bids of £4m and £4.5m rejected out of hand by the Potters, actions that have led to Begovic not being 'in the right frame of mind'.
