Boskamp: 'Halls agent wants him to leave'

Boskamp added: "We made John a good contract offer. If he accepts then he becomes one of the best paid players at Stoke. I think he wants it, but his agent doesn't. These people drive me nuts."

He complained: "We made him a very good proposal and, if he had accepted it, he'd be the best paid player at Stoke.

"It is not he who turned it down but his agent. It is a strange situation that the player is okay but we have to keep the agent happy."
