"But I do have one or two irons left in the fire, including one non-local possibility, and we shall have to see what comes of that.
"Unfortunately, these things take time because you cannot rush people into this kind of major financial commitment.
"And the last thing I or the club needs is someone rushing into a decision and then not having the passion for it down the line."
He says: "I am not aware of any other interest and the football club clearly needs a resolution to the current situation.
"Being part of a consortium has always been my preference, but I may have to consider the alternative if I cannot encourage others to come in with me."
