Academy graduates Ryan Shotton and Carl Dickinson have completed their moves to Championship side Barnsley.
The Tykes have been looking for defensive cover this season and the Sheffield Star reported that deals have been agreed for a three month emergency loan for the pair. Barnsley have now confirmed that the deals are done, with just the inevitable completion of the players registrations needed to fully finalise the loans.
Shotton had been set to join Derby, who had confirmed their interest in the 20-year-old right back, whilst left back Dickinson had been linked with Leeds, where he spent a month on loan last season.
Both players sat on the bench last night as the Potters triumphed 4-3 in a topsy turvy Carling Cup tie at home to Blackpool. The Tykes also progressed to the next round of the cup but the pair will be unavailable as they both played in the 2nd round win at Leyton Orient.
