Stoke are reportedly interested in signing Tottenham and England striker Peter Crouch.
Former Liverpool striker Crouch has grown increasingly frustrated at a lack of game time at White Hart Lane, he started only twenty times for Spurs during the last Premier League campaign, and is thought to welcome a move closer to his roots.
Crouch, who hails from Macclesfield, is thought to be available for between five and seven million pounds but wages may be a problem with City hoping Spurs will contribute should the Potters pay a little extra transfer fee.
The 30-year-old striker joins fellow England hitmen Carlton Cole, Danny Welbeck and Daniel Sturridge in being linked to the Potters during this transfer window.
