Francis has been working at Stoke on a part time basis for the last few weeks, but has recently been approached by his fried Joe Kinnear who is currently in charge at St. James' Park.
Despite the obvious attraction of the Newcastle offer, Francis insists he is enjoying life at Stoke. He has been impressed by manager Tony Pulis and also with the atmosphere at the club.
Hopefully Francis will choose a part time role at Stoke over what must surely be only a temporary stinit in the North East. The Potters will benefit from his experience and a different approach if he does choose to stay at the Britannia Stadium.
