German Giants Chase Potters Hitman

£5m signing Tuncay is attracting the interest of German side Wolfsburg, just 12 months after signing from Middlesbrough.

Turkish captain Tuncay, had a turbulent first twelve months at the Britannia, not starting a league game until December, and then three times storming off after being subbed by manager Tony Pulis.

The relationship between gaffer and player seemed strained from the outside but TP always insisted their was no problem between the pair and that Tunny was a 'smashing lad' who was a joy to have around. That was in stark contrast to the quotes given towards David Kitson after he stormed off versus Chelsea, where he was dropped for the remainder of the season, slated by fans and manager alike, and put to the top of the list of players to get through the door this summer.

It is not clear how much TP would like to keep Tuncay at Stoke, he top scored in the league last season with five goals, but if the right bid came in then Stoke would surely take the money and look for a player who would maybe be more suited to the way the team likes to play. Having said that after being here for twelve months Tuncay may now be settled in enough to become a regular starter and a key player for the Potters in the forthcoming season.
