Gifton next to Burnley?

It is believed that Burnley manager Steve Cotterill has put a bid forward to Gifton which he is expected to accept and join the Clarets this week when Cotterill returns to England having gone scouting in Spain.

Stoke have only offered the forward a one year contract, which his agent recently described as "an insult".

Gifton was City's top goalscorer this season with 13.
