Stoke were linked with the former Forest and West Ham forward in the January transfer window, but nothing materialised. However, with Martin O'Neill thought to be keen to strenghten his forward line, Stoke have made positive enquiries about the player, along with Fulham and Glasgow Rangers.
Harewood is the Tony Pulis style of forward, being very big and strong, and he has always scored goals, particularly against the Potters. Harewood still has 2 years on his contract after a £4 million move from Upton Park, and may prove difficult to entice away from Villa Park, but would be a proven addition to the squad for the forthcoming season.
