Last season was a bleak one for Higgy, he suffered with his injury problems and then when he was fully fit he was sent out on loan to Nottingham Forest.
Now the 33 year old is back in pre-season training with the rest of the squad, but with Pulis under instruction to move players on before new can come in, Higginbotham must know that he is on thin ice.
But until he finds out what is planned for him by the boss, he will just carry on training.
Speaking to the Sentinel, he said: "I don't know what's going to happen at the moment, it's completely up to the manager and he's made some very good decisions over the years, so whatever he decides I will accept.
"It's a great squad we've got here, but I'm sure there will be additions. You need to sign players just to stand still sometimes and not get left behind."
