7000 people now have an ID card which was introduced in reaction to bad crowd trouble when Stoke played away. Many say it has helped to prevent crowd trouble and makes for a better atmosphere but those opposing the ban say that it's unfair to impose such a scheme.
"The scheme has been in place for 18 months and we feel this is an appropriate time to conduct a full review," Tony Scholes said.
"I haven't been here long and I come into this debate open-minded, but I appreciate some are vehemently opposed to cards and others are passionately for them.
"If the scheme is dividing supporters down the middle, then it is only right we should take a step back and assess it.
"We will carry out a balanced review taking in all opinions, then come up with some recommendations."
