"It's not unusual for so many players to be suspended or to be close to being suspended at this time of year," admitted director of football John Rudge.
"You are in the lap of the Gods sometimes and you just have to hope the suspensions don't all come at once.
"We are a bit thin on the ground because of injuries already, so the consequences are obvious if those three were to pick up a fifth booking at the same time.
"You can't change a player's natural game when he's out there in the middle and nor would you want to.
"All you can do is keep impressing on them the importance of avoiding those silly bookings for dissent, kicking the ball away and the like.
"We have a fine system in place to try to eradicate the problem by deterring players from losing their heads in the heat of the moment."
