Potters record signing Kenwyne Jones promising debut was cut short by an ankle injury, sustained following a robust tackle from Jody Craddock, and the Potters fears of a serious injury appear to have been softened.
The extent of the injury IS still unknown but the striker will be sent for a scan and an x-ray tomorrow to try and work out the damage done, the delay maybe a sign that the club feel the injury isn't that serious.
Initial fears were of a broken ankle but the striker walked off the pitch and down the tunnel, albiet with assistance. He also returned to the dugout in the second half and sat without ice on the injury, more signs that there is no break.
City will be hoping for as little damage as possible so the giant striker will be back in action as soon as possible.
