Young trio Tom Soares, Carl Dickinson and Ryan Shotton have all extended stays at their loan clubs.
Dickinson and Shotton have agreed to return to Oakwell for the rest of the season. They had returned earlier this week after their loan period ran out but have agreed to return on New Years Day, the earliest possible opportunity to, and see out the season with the Tykes as they aim to go from one end of the table to the other.
Soares has only just broken into the Sheffield Wednesday starting eleven after making a couple of substitute appearances in his months loan at Hillsborough. Even though the manager who brought him to the club, Brian Laws, has been sacked they have extended his stay for a second month and have permission from Stoke to play the midfielder in the FA Cup tie against Soares old club Crystal Palace.
