Dominic Matteo continued his recovery from injury by turning out for the reserves in yesterdays 2-0 defeat at the hands of Wolves.
Matteo has been kept out of action since November with a foot injury and has been out for much longer than expected. The club captain played all 90 minutes of the defeat at Telford, but afterwards felt his foot alittle according to Tony Pulis.
After so long out of action he will now have a couple of days rest in the hope that it will settle down and he will be able to push for a first team place. His return would be welcome in the run in as his experience would help the younger players and he can operate as both as midfielder and defender, providing much needed cover in these areas for injurues and suspensions.
