Stoke were held to a draw in their first friendly back on UK soil, and it could have been worse!
City, who beat Austrian part timers FC Thal 3-1 in their opening pre-season friendly on Thursday, only landed back in the country yesterday and went behind just before half time thanks to Newport skipper Warren's looping header.
The Potters were on top for long spells, without getting the tempo up, and were spared their blushes when they equalised through Kenwyne Jones with 15 minutes left.
Jones then had a second goal disallowed for offside in injury time before City held on in the face of some late late pressure.
