Roberto Mancini spat his dummy out on Saturday after being shown that his team full of divers are not as good as they think they are, in fact they are quite timid when it comes to a good old fighting game of football that has been played for generations in this country.
Mancini insulted the hosts by refusing to shake the hand of Tony Pulis after the game, because of the Potters physical approach to games, or so he says. But it’s more likely that despite having the most expensive side in the Premiership, and the side that likes to dive for free kicks the most, they were made to look very ordinary by a side that cost a fraction of what has been wasted on theirs, a side that is full of players who are on nowhere near the money that they are on, a side that play for the club, the fans and pride.
Pulis said after the game: "I don't think we do anything wrong at this football club,"
"We are competitive. We close people down. For me there's a make-up within the Premier League that is better than any of the big leagues.
"It's what makes it the best in the world as you have different styles, different systems. You have everything in the pot ? and it makes it exciting.
"No club, and this is why it will be exciting right until the end, goes anywhere, or should go anywhere, to any ground and do sometimes what Barcelona and Real Madrid do to teams in Spain.
"And that is just play a game and just walk through it. That won't happen in England."
