In one of the closest polls ever done on The Boothen Roar, with three games all tied together going into the final stages. A late flurry of votes seperated the games and the result was as follows:
3) Tottenham 0-1 Stoke - 20.0% - A superb late strike from Glen Whelan gave the Potters a famous victory at Champions League bound Spurs, after spending the whole game on the back foot and keeping the hosts at bay.
2) Stoke 3-1 Arsenal(FA Cup) - 25.3% - After beating York in Round 3 Stoke were handed a tough tie at home to the Gunners. ITV screened the game and Ricardo Fuller opened up, nodding in from a Delap long throw, after just eighty seconds.
Arsenal equalised before half time but second half goals from Fuller and Whitehead sealed the win as Stoke both outfought, and outplayed, Arsenal with some slick, snappy passing making the visitors pay.
1) Stoke 3-1 Manchester City(FA Cup) - 26.7% - After two 1-1 draws against Citeh in the previous week, both away in the cup, and at home in the league, a series of incidents, including a 93rd minute Ryan Shawcross winner in the league game that was wrongly ruled out, meant that this game was full of fight, emotion and had two sides go at it with more than just a place in the last eight of the competition at stake.
After another compelling 90 minutes, with Barry netting for the visitors, after Kitson curled in a beauty to open the scoring, extra time was needed. Citeh were down to ten men after having Adebayor sent off on the hour, and goals from Tuncay and Shawcross ended the trilogy of games in the Potters favour.
