Stoke have definately signed, sealed and delivered Icelandic striker Eidur Gudjohnsen's loan move from Monaco.
Gudjohnsen, 31, had agreed a 12 month loan deal with the Potters paying £40,000-a-week of his £70,000-a-week wages.
After being given a guided tour by manager Tony Pulis, Gudjohnsen decided to sign on the dotted line and will now look to hoist the Potters away from the relegation zone and into mid table safety.
However there were more twists as, after indicating the deal was sorted, Gudjohnsen and City were told that Monaco wouldn't pay the remaining £30,000-a-week of his wages but Eidur has agreed to give up £10,000-a-week of his contracted pay packet in order to complete the deal.
After already signing Salif Diao and Jermaine Pennant the club have also now received confirmation that Pompey captain Marc Wilson has had his deal rubberstamped in time.
