Nash is however now 38 and he could well be interested in seeking a move to a club where he would be able to get first team football as being third choice at Stoke produces very limited opportunities.
Nash has left a hint about a move when he posted a message on twitter that read: "Had another mammoth fitness session. This should stand me in good stead for pre-season, wherever that may be."
Speaking to the Sentinel, John Rudge said: "We have offered Carlo a contract.
"He would like to be playing, but he is a good type who has done well for us while he has been here.
"We hope he stays because he is an experienced player who gives us a good battle for places."
