Stoke believe they have closed in further on a trio of new signings after moves for Spurs pair Wilson Palacios and Peter Crouch, aswell as Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips, move a step closer towards being finalised.
Crouch has moved a step nearer the exit door at White Hart Lane after Spurs completed the loan deal for Emmanuel Adebayor whilst his team mate Palacios is also set to be able to move when Tottenham eventually complete a deal for either Lass Diarra or England midfielder Scott Parker.
Crouch has been linked with Fulham and should he decide to move to Craven Cottage it is believed City boss Tony Pulis will move for another long term target in Fulham striker Bobby Zamora.
Stoke have today stepped up their interest in another Fulham target after entering negotiations with Wright-Phillips and Manchester City. The winger has been told he has no future at Eastlands and won't be included in the Champions League sides 25 man Premier League squad, meaning a failure to move will see him watching from the stands until at least January. The Potters have reportedly placed a £2m bid for ex-Chelsea man Wright-Phillips.
Stoke will be hoping to complete the deals prior to deadline day allowing Tony Pulis opportunity to bring in the total of 5 or 6 new faces he is looking for before the window slams shut.
