The Potters will host York on the weekend of January 2nd/3rd after being paired together in the 3rd round FA Cup draw ta Wembley Stadium.
The tie was the fourth one pulled from the bag, and see's only the sixth competitive meeting between the sides. The previous five have seen three Stoke wins and two draws, with 11 Potters strikes to York's three.
Two of those five games have been played at Stoke, a 2-0 home win in a November 1998 and a 0-0 Carling Cup draw in September 2000. The only FA Cup encounter between the sides was a 2-0 Stoke win away at York in January 1969.
