Stoke new boy Eidur Gudjohnsen has revealed how his transfer deadline day deal was a permanent transfer, not a loan deal as was initially felt.
Gudjohnsen, 31, has severed all ties with Monaco and signed as 12 month deal with the Potters, with a two year extension available should both parties want it next summer.
The Icelandic superstar, who has played for Chelsea, Tottenham and Barcelona, is hoping to build up his fitness enough to be in contention for a place in the team to take on Aston Villa on Monday 13th September, a game live on Sky Sports.
