Stoke defender Ryan Shawcross is reportedly top of Italian giants Juventus New Year shopping list.
Reports in England and Italy have this week linked the defender with a big money move after Juve showed their defensive frailties with a 3-1 home defeat to Palermo in midweek.
Shawcross has been heavily linked with a move away from the Potters since the clubs promotion to the Premier League, with Manchester United having a first refusal clause where they have the opportunity to match any bid accepted by the Potters, a clause put in during the deal that brought Shawcross to the Britannia Stadium from Manchester United in January 2008.
City have always insisted they have no intention to sell their star defender, who has been called up by Fabio Capello for a pre-World Cup squad, and the Potters captain would command a fee of around, and probably exceeding, £15m should he leave the Britannia Stadium.
